We stopped in for our catered meal last night....WOW!! We were so full, but it was all good and we had a great time. Here's the menu for each of us...see if you can figure out what we took home in our doggie bags.
Me:
Fresh Shrimp Ceviche
Charcuterie, Cheese, and Fruit (starfruit, mango, kiwi berries, figs) We shared these plates. Meats included prosciutto ham, pan-fried lamb pate, and something else. The cheeses were great....a Maytag Bleu, which was maybe the best Bleu I've ever tasted, Bleu d'Auvergne (a bit milder), two hard cheeses, both mild-ish, and another which I've also forgotten.
French Lentil and Prosciutto Soup
Bleu 'Auvergne, Pear and Pine Nut Salad
Cucumber-Mint Granita
Wild Mushroom Pastries with Maytag Bleu Cheese and Basil-Sweet Garlic Cream
Tea-Smoked Duck Breast with Carmelized Pear and Mustard Spaetzle
Molten Chocolate Cake with Raspberry sauce and Cream Anglaise
And he brought out a Creme Brulee he just made for us to taste
Bob:
Fresh Shrimp Ceviche
Charcuterie, Cheese and Fruit
New England Clam Chowder with Potato-Stuffed Profiteroles
Egg and Prosciutto Salad
Cucumber-Mint Granita
Duck Leg with Sweated Orange, Caramelized Pear and Rosemary Bacon Jus
Lamb Shank Cassoulet
Molten Chocolate Cake
And the Creme Brulee
Non-Alcoholic Drinks included Grapefruit-Ginger Ale, Strawberry-Kiwi Soda, and Orange-Pomegranate Soda
I need to lie down again...just typing it makes me full!!!
All beautifully arranged and presented, a wonderful waitress who thought this was the most fun, and a great ambiance.
