Yellowstone Wildlife

September 17, 2010
We're staying just a bit outside the West entrance to the park, in Idaho. BUT, we have great WiFi here, so we should be able to put up a few posts before we move along in a couple of days.
We saw quite a few elk today....this group about 15 minutes into the park.
These bison were just out sunning themselves. This was the biggest herd we saw, though we saw quite a few singles and small groups.
This big guy was just walking down the road. We actually turned around to see him, while he was off in the meadow, only to find he had gone out into the road. By the time we were turned back around and had gotten into the line of cars to see him, he had come up to us...this is right outside Bob's door.
But mostly we saw a lot of these....if anyone is compiling a Christmas list, Bob says that big white Canon would do just fine for him!
